Dear Beatrice,
thanks very much for your reply long time ago.
I did not do very much focus stacking in the mean time but used it yesterday for shooting some beautiful flowers.
The setup:
I use the 90mm with a macro lens mounted on tripod with two softbox flashes, normal shutter, start from front to infinity with 45 shots.
The first 3 series where without problems, then I got the message after about 30 shots and even less. I unmounted the lens and I removed the battery, but still these problems.
Today I started a new shooting and got the massage after 12 shots, then after 3 and then after 2 shots! No difference after changing the battery and removing the lens!
The same with outdoor shooting normal shutter about 20 shots from 45.
A few months ago I had the same massage with the 21mm, but I don't recall the shutter setting.
So I tried the 21mm too outdoors and got the problem after about 5 shots with normal and electronic shutter too.
And finally I tried the 45P with the same result after 7 shots.
I love the 907X and use it permanently and the digital back adapted on Sinar 4x5 and my new Cambo Actus with great results and fun.
Besides these problems I must say, that the AF is the worst AF I used since about 15 years. The AF fields are so far separated, that I have to recompose my setting in order to get the AF filed at the correct position for focus stacking.
* And a wish: for my Leica I have an extra EVF. This is missing for the 907X. To manual focus architecture in sunlight is often just guessing. The optical finder is useless.
* And I mentioned it before: why can't I save the different presets like other cameras (Nikon, Sony) offer since very long time?
Looking forward and hoping for your help.
Regards
Dierk
